Peter M. Cermak - Chairman

Peter Cermak, 48, is a graduate from the University of Maryland College of Business and Management. Mr. Cermak holds a BS degree in Business and Marketing with a minor degree in Pre-Med. Upon graduating in the spring of 1984, Mr. Cermak began his management career with Pepsi Co. Inc. Having been selected for their corporate training program, Mr. Cermak began training and working up the corporate ladder. During his seven years with Pepsi Co, Mr. Cermak managed new store openings, Regional management training programs, Market development, financial planning and budgeting. As the new Area Director of a failing Southern Washington market, he put his construction and management skills to the test, and turned that market around to become the second highest sales and profit area in the Washington region in less than 12 months. After leaving Pepsi Co., Peter spent the next eleven years working as a management consultant for a variety of retail and entertainment start up concepts. In the fall of 2004, he decided to take all the knowledge and experience gained in building and running corporate concepts, to start out on his own in construction. Six months after working solo, Mr. Cermak teamed up with Mr. Capizzi to form CERCAP Inc. the official parent company of C&C Partners. Mr. Cermak is the Chief Executive Officer of CERCAP, Inc and co-manages the operations of C&C Partners. An avid traveler, Mr. Cermak has spent several years living and working in Europe and in the Californian Silicon valley. He is fluent in French, and can converse in German and Spanish.

Peter currently resides in Frederick, Maryland with his wife Erica and their two children.

 

Philip J. Capizzi - President/CFO

Philip, 48, has been President and Chief Financial Officer of CERCAP, Inc. since its inception in 2004. He is principally responsible for the financial management of CERCAP Inc. and is an active partner in the day to day operations of C&C Partners, the remodeling/construction division of CERCAP Inc. Prior to the formation of CERCAP Inc., Philip was Vice President of Asset Management and Acquisitions for Capitol Hotel Group, a Rockville, MD based affiliate of CRI, Inc. During his sixteen years with CRI and CHG, he acted on behalf of the General Partner, representing thousands of investors in limited partnerships and public funds that owned syndicated hotel investments throughout the United States. Some duties included refinancing, loan work outs, operations and capital budgeting, insurance claims, lawsuits, and a host of other owner related issues. Philip also spent his last four years actively exploring investment opportunities and seeking to purchase hotels on behalf of the principals of CRI and CHG. Before joining CRI in 1988, he held various property level management positions with major hotel chains in five states such as Sheraton, Holiday Inn, Hyatt, and Houston’s Restaurants, with a brief stint in corporate accounting with the Carey Winston Mortgage Banking Company in Friendship Heights, MD. Philip is a 1984 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management.

Philip resides in Frederick with his wife Jody and their three children.

 

Scott Henry

Scott came to C&C Partners in the Spring of 2008 as a part time member of the C & C family. Scott is an active firefighter for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Services in Laytonsville, MD. Scott has supplemented his fire fighting career with years of home improvement and remodeling work as a carpenter. Scott has a very extensive knowledge of remodeling and can handle any task thrown at him.

Scott lives with his wife and two small children in New Windsor.

 

 

 

Joe Nordvedt

Joe has been with the C&C team for more than a year now. In 2006, Joe graduated from Washington Bible College with the intent of pursuing youth ministry. While volunteering his time in ministry, Joe began to work at the Howard County branch of Invisible Fence to supplement his income. While there Joe worked his way up to general manager of the branch, handling all aspects of the company including installs, sales, customer service, and administration. After several years with this company Joe decided to leave to pursue a career in carpentry. Growing up with the handiest dad in the world, Joe had a very strong foundation in all aspects of remodeling. In his time with C&C he has developed that foundation into a very complete remodeling skillset. In addition to his knowledge and attention to detail in remodeling, Joe has also brought along a technological skillset. Joe is the official C&C web designer and company photographer. Outside of work, Joe is still very active in his church ministries and is involved on a regular basis with the Baltimore Free Store, a non-profit organization in Baltimore city. In the little time Joe has left, he enjoys watching movies, riding motorcycles, and building furniture in his shop.

Joe lives in Western Howard County with his wife, Bonnie, and dog, Nitro.

 

 

Chase Colwell

Chase Colwell is the newest addition to the C&C team, signing on in March of 2010. Prior to seeking employment in home improvement, Chase has had first-hand experience in most phases of commercial and residential construction. Many members of his family worked in construction trades and instilled in him the pride of high-quality craftsmanship. He has a cumulative 9 years experience in metal fabrication specializing in ornate staircases, railings, balconies, wine cellar doors, and driveway gates. In addition to his construction experience Chase has attended several years of college part-time, pursuing degrees in business management and surgical technology. Outside of work, Chase's interests include church, supersport motorcycles, jetskis, working out, firing up the chainsaw, guns, mowing grass, weedwacking, helicopters, and flying.
